Boiling Springs Intermed Reviews

I love this school! I go to BSIS and all the teachers and staff are very helpful. Mrs. Greer can be mean sometimes but she is awesome.

This is my sons first year in this school. I don't have the words to describe the environment that this schools brings on to a child. The teachers that my son has they are horrible, refuse to listen to any type of reasoning. This has been trully a toughest time and the school has only been in session 3 weeks. Parents need to speak up or nothing will ever change. Concerned parent

BSIS is an excellent school. It is sad to see that some have differing opinions. I think the administration is awesome. Mrs. Greer, Mr. Patterson, and Mrs. Kimble are very organized, friendly, and really care about the students. They are fair and have great expectations for their students. The teachers are awesome as well. They go out of their way and do all they can to teach my child. The school has lots of fun things for my child to do and he is always talking about the exciting days he has at school.

I am a sixth grader and i hate this school. The teachers are not fare and will give you lunch detention, not if you were in the fight, but even if you only eye witnessed it! i am so glad i am switching schools.

Totally agree with the many negatives at this school and the oppressive enviroment that some of the good teachers there have to deal with under the current regime. These are 5th and 6th graders, kids expected to behave 24/7 like robots. I don't know if I could even perform to the expectations. High standards are wonderful when they are in a nurturing and caring environment. I still have other kids to go there so my only hope is that leadership has climbed another step on the ladder or the district wakes up.

I love Boiling Springs Intermediate school. The teachers and Principal go out of their way to make you feel at home. Every child is encourage to use their talents and ablities to do their best. I'm proud to make Boiling Springs my home. Our school should get a 10.

Too many complaints to list them all. My husband & I have even met with the principal & a representative from the district office regarding our concerns, to absolutelly no avail. Our concerns fell on ears that were pretending not to be deaf, but, most assuredly, they did not hear us, or they simply don't care, which is even worse, in my opinion...

It is so funny to me that there is only 2 reviews for this school from 2005 to 2008 and nothing has changed. Teacher just refuse to help kids with disabilities. Like ADHD, my daughter has this and she forgets to bring in her reading log on Mondays. Instead of asking her to get it, she has gotten a zero in reading for 2 months now. Does anyone think this is right? I don't!! Her doctor told me I needed to get it put in my daughters IEP that the teachers have to remind her of things before giving her a zero. But I can't get no one to call me back about this from the Dist. 2 office. My daughter is very smart ,she just forgets things , most of the time these things are in her locker right outside of her class door. But can not get it out.

The school principal says they are trying to work on the issues there however when going to the district 2 office you are never able to talk to the superintendent you always have to go up the chain of command and you are tired of explaining your situation to everyone and just give up and this is exactly what they want you to do. the dropping off and picking up your children is a headache and god forbid if your children are talking to anyone and don't forget if your lunch bill goes over $10 then your child will get a peanut butter sandwich

There are 2 good accelerated 'Climb' classes in math and english, however some of the staff response to my child's hidden disabilities has been advasarial. Children with disabilites are supposed to be Federally protected, but my reaching to others in the District 2 heirarchy has been a futile endeavor. Two kind and flexable Teachers Ms. Lyda and Ms. Kimbrell have allowed my son some success this year. D. Standard
